The Bicon Dental Implant System
Building upon over twenty years of clinical success with the
current Bicon implant design and the seventeen years of innovative research and development efforts which preceded its inception, Bicon's dental implant system
continues to lead the implant industry. In order to fully appreciate Bicon's unique implant design, with its 1.5° bacterially-sealed* locking-taper
implant to abutment connection, one should be aware of the history of the Bicon dental implant concept. Although the implant design may appear new to some dentists,
its history goes back to a time well before 1982 — the year Professor Branemark visited Toronto to demonstrate what he had learned about the properties
of titanium.
Bicon is Different
 | The Bicon Dental Implant System is a complete dental implant
system with over 38 years of research, design and innovation. The Bicon System is different by design. Unfortunately, the dental community
often accepts certain tenets of implant dentistry that are espoused by paid opinion leaders without questioning their logic or the marketing hype of their manufacturer.
We ask that you question Bicon, question other manufacturers, and question lecturers. For in the end, most dentists are looking to provide their patients with
a value-added service in the most predictable and cost-effective manner as possible. The Bicon System will allow you to easily achieve and exceed these goals.
We invite you to join your colleagues in over forty-five countries, who since 1985 have realized both professional and personal success with Bicon.

When Bicon introduced its short 6.0 x 5.7mm implant in 2002, the dental community responded very positively because of
the flexibility it affords clinicians in challenging clinical situations. The recently introduced 5.0 x 6.0mm short implant is another revolutionary addition
to Bicon's existing selection of implants. The
5.0mm width offers an alternative to clinical situations where a wider implant would not be an option. The short length of 6.0mm allows dentists to avoid vital
structures with confidence, and eliminates the need for many grafting procedures. This innovation is only possible because of Bicon’s elegant plateaued
design, which provides cortical-like bone with central vascular systems around the implant. This cortical-like bone not only grows faster, but also provides
for functionally different capabilities than the appositional bone around non-plateaued implants. With Bicon, longer implant length is not necessarily better.
